Extra bedroom for rent in large residential home!!I'm just a single dude living in a house that's way too big for one person and a narcoleptic dog. Great features include hardwood floors, central a/c, high speed wifi, free washer/dryer, mostly working alarm system, access to my netflix and hulu accounts if you're cool, the affection of aforementioned narcoleptic dog, and the safety and security of rooming with a Boston police officer. We've got a huge fenced-in backyard complete with deck, sweet bbq grilling machine and plenty of grass for any discerning pooch.
I'm a chill roomie with minimal expectations except that you're hygienic, law abiding, not into any shady shit and clean up after yourself. Feel free to eat my food if you contribute to the groceries stash or fund. Feel doubly free to cook if you're so inclined, as long as you're ok with a large sad man begging for scraps because the most complicated thing he can cook is grilled cheese.
There's just one crucial thing you've really gotta be cool with: my kid. My 5 y.o. daughter's going to be living here Thursday mornings through Sunday afternoons. She goes to kindergarten during the week, has her own room, won't go near your stuff unless you invite her to (we're training her to respect the concept of personal property with a spray bottle) and usually sleeps at least six hours. Downsides: she's loud, she's a little destructive, and she's curious. She's not used to living with adults that aren't her parents, so the transition might be bumpy. Very willing to give rent discounts whenever she's super obnoxious. Upsides!!!: she's cute, she likes to help with chores, she's cute, she's easily distracted by shiny things or laser pointers, and if we get to that level of trust where I'm good with letting you take her somewhere like the neighborhood park, she's a total babe magnet and wing girl.
Don't worry, I won't expect you to babysit. Unless you're up for that.
(Also in a few months there's going to be a baby happening too but we can discuss that later.)
